The social workers and
case managers at Worcester County Department of
Social Services (DSS), health department workers
and school counselors refer appropriate families through
the month of July, and by August, we begin
identifying families in dire need. We also
collect a variety of extra supplies for distribution
through the Department of Social Services in
Snow Hill.
Interested individuals,
such as local businesses, civic organizations,
church groups and clubs are matched with needy families. The donors purchase and deliver
school supplies to a child or a family of
children in Worcester County who otherwise would
not be able to afford adequate supplies.
